A Day Trip to the NC Zoo

Posted on Updated on

DSC_0778Monday was a perfect day to visit the NC Zoo near Asheboro!  Thousands of students on Spring Break agreed.  Not only was the weather a delight but the animals seem to have made a unanimous decision to make appearances (except for the black bear)!  Never have I been to a zoo when all the animals were out and active!

Take a look at a sampling of the photos from the trip.

Michelangelo Favorites…Pieta and Moses

Cathy and I returned late Friday night from our trip from Italy with lots of great memories and hundreds of photos!  Let the viewer beware of many uploads to come.

Just to get us started, here are two memorable photos of my favorite pieces by Michelangelo.  Absolutely amazing works!

OK, the only way to get this close was at the San Diego zoo…still, what a majestic look!
