“Hallelujah!” for Christmas

Posted on

One of the most popular songs for several years has been “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen.  The music has a haunting beauty about it…but the lyrics?  Strange to say the least!

Dogwood Church

Well, for those who wish there was a way some different lyrics could give you a reason to like the song and not cringe when you hear it, here is a Christmas lyric blended with a great melody in an arrangement recorded in a music video by Dogwood Church, Tyrone, Georgia (south of Atlanta).  Gotta admit…really stirring!  Immanuel has come!  Hallelujah!

Lots of new songs come out every Christmas so stay tuned for more to come here at this blog.   And make sure you find some place to worship each week where you can add your voice to a holy chorus praising God for the gift of Jesus Christ, His Son!
